The Light Linking Switch addon is a powerful tool designed to streamline the management of lighting in Blender scenes. It simplifies the process of linking and unlinking light properties, making it easier to control multiple lights simultaneously with a single custom property. Perfect tool for animating lights switching on and off!!

Whats included?

Addon lets you select multiple lights and creates one, easy to animate and set up, property that you can adjust !

Includes a disconnect button, that will delete the linking. It works with lights that have different color, different power level and different type! (and with unlimited quantities!) With Eevee and with Cycles ! Works for Blender 4.0.1

How does it work?

Select the lights that you want to link (in object mode). The active light will be the source of the property! Either F3 and type "Light Linking" or you can find it at the very end of the object tab in the viewport.

QA:

How to install the addon? Easy! Download the file, it contains a .py file. Save it somewhere save, then in Blender Edit - Preferences - Install, find the .py file. Click it, dont forget to turn it on ! Its called "Light Linking Switch". Your done!

Can I change the power AFTER I linked the lights? Yes! (its recomended to set up the lights first thou') But be careful to not delete the expression that's there!

I deleted the expression! Not a problem! Just insert var*(your new power value) in the powers slot of the light!

Can I mix the light links? (so one light is linked to two controls) Nope! Better don't do that! (Why would you need that?)
